Rector of the University of Prague who preached Wycliffe's ideas in Czech; burned at the Council of Constance despite a promise of safe conduct.
Why it matters
His movement survived as the Bohemian Brethren and Moravians; Luther said, 'We are all Hussites without knowing it.'
