Jesus Goes Up to Heaven

Acts 1:1–11

For children

Jesus told His disciples to tell the whole world about Him. Then He went up into the sky, and a cloud hid Him. Two angels said, "He will come back the same way!"

For grown-ups

The ascension is enthronement: Jesus sits at the Father's right hand as Priest and King and pours out the Spirit. The church's mission runs from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth.
