Jesus Is Baptized

Matthew 3:13–17

For children

John baptized people in the Jordan River. When Jesus was baptized, heaven opened, the Spirit came down like a dove, and God's voice said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased."

For grown-ups

Father, Son and Spirit are revealed together. The sinless one is baptized 'to fulfil all righteousness', standing with sinners at the start of the ministry that will end with His baptism of suffering.
