Jesus Dies on the Cross

For children

Jesus never did anything wrong, but He let soldiers nail Him to a cross. He took the punishment for our sins. Even on the cross He prayed, "Father, forgive them." Then He said, "It is finished," and died.

For grown-ups

The centre of Scripture: the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring us to God (1 Pet 3:18). The thief beside Him shows that salvation is by grace alone, received by faith alone.
