Fishers of Men

Luke 5:1–11

For children

Peter fished all night and caught nothing. Jesus told him to try again. Peter's nets filled with so many fish they began to break! Jesus said, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of people." They left everything and followed Him.

For grown-ups

Peter's response to the miracle is not greed but fear: 'Depart from me, for I am a sinful man.' Jesus answers with a call. Every disciple is both forgiven and sent.
