The Walls of Jericho
For children
Jericho had huge walls. God told Joshua to march around the city once a day for six days, and seven times on the seventh day. Then the priests blew the trumpets, the people shouted — and the walls fell down flat! Rahab, who trusted God, was kept safe.
For grown-ups
Israel takes the first city of Canaan not by siege but by worship and obedience. Rahab, a Canaanite prostitute, is saved by faith and the scarlet cord — and becomes an ancestor of David and of Jesus (Matt 1:5).

Why do you think God told them to march instead of fight?
