Bread from Heaven
For children
In the desert there was no food. God sent bread called manna every morning, like flakes on the ground. Each family gathered just enough for the day, and God sent more the next morning. God took care of them every single day.
For grown-ups
Manna trains Israel in daily dependence: no hoarding, no self-sufficiency. Jesus says, 'I am the bread of life… your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and died; whoever eats this bread will live forever' (John 6:48–51).
