Saul Meets Jesus

Acts 9:1–19

For children

Saul hated Christians and wanted to put them in jail. On the road to Damascus a bright light flashed, and Jesus said, "Saul, why are you persecuting me?" Saul became blind for three days. Then God healed his eyes, and Saul began telling everyone about Jesus. He became known as Paul.

For grown-ups

The chief persecutor becomes the apostle to the Gentiles — a living proof that salvation is by grace (1 Tim 1:15–16). Jesus so identifies with His church that to persecute it is to persecute Him.
