Jesus in the Wilderness

Matthew 4:1–11

For children

Jesus went into the desert and didn't eat for forty days. The devil tried to trick Him three times. Each time Jesus answered with God's Word: "It is written…" The devil went away.

For grown-ups

Where Adam fell in a garden and Israel failed in the wilderness, Jesus stands — and answers every temptation from Deuteronomy. He is the faithful Son, tempted as we are, yet without sin (Heb 4:15).
